Hayley Mills
Hailing from a family of talented actors, it was no surprise when Hayley Mills won a BAFTA Award as the Most Promising Newcomer for her performance in Tiger Bay. She also won an Academy Juvenile Award for her role in Pollyanna and a Golden Globe Award as the New Star of the Year. Before Lindsay Lohan took on the role, she starred in Disney’s The Parent Trap as Susan and Sharon.
In 1961, she received another BAFTA Award as Best British Actress for her performance in Whistle Down the Wind, a film adaptation of her mother’s novel. Hayley also devotes her investment money to a charity called Anno’s Africa as one of its trustees. Caming from a family of British actors, she was only 13 when she began her acting career in 1959’s Tiger Bay. After a 17-year absence, Mills returned to TV in 2007 and had a regular role on the TV series Wild At Heart.
