Karen Grassle

Karen Grassle was known for playing the mother of an iconic TV actress. She and Melissa Sue Anderson worked as a mother and daughter duo in the production Little House on the Prairie. Before her big break with NBC, she obtained degrees in English and Dramatic Art from the University of California in Berkeley. She then transitioned into a Broadway actress, where she worked with Brandon deWilde and Maureen O’Sullivan.

When she auditioned for the role of Caroline Ingalls, she managed to impress her audience and won the part. It was said to have beaten 47 actresses. She continued to appear in films and TV shows such as Gunsmoke, Hotel, Battered, Eily, Emily, and many more. Actress Karen Glass has had three husbands over the years.She shares a daughter, Lily Radford, with James Allen Radford, a real estate developer. They married In 1982 and divorced in 1987.
