Olivia Hussey
Like many actresses before, Olivia Hussey was a stage actress before she appeared on the screen. She attended a drama school where she had fallen in love with theater, kick-starting her career. Olivia is best known for her role as Juliet in the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet. Olivia was only 15 years old during this time and she was chosen out of 500 actresses!
Her performance was internationally and critically acclaimed, earning her a Golden Globe Award and a David di Donatello award at a very young age. Another of her most famous roles was in the 1977 TV miniseries Jesus of Nazareth, in which she played Mary, the mother of Jesus. She was born in Argentina so her parents had to permit her to transfer to London. They called a moving company and she moved with her mother and brother.
