Julia Roberts
Roberts made her first big-screen appearance in the film Satisfaction as a band member looking for a summer gig. She established herself as a leading lady in Hollywood after headlining the romantic comedy film Pretty Woman. Julia was the highest-paid actress in the world throughout most of the 1990s and in the first half of the 2000s. She also runs the production company Red Om Films with her sister. Through Red Om, she served as an executive producer of the first four movies of the American Girl film series, released between 2004 and 2008.
Other than movies, Julia led a documentary to raise public awareness about Rett syndrome. She also became a spokeswoman for Earth Biofuels and a chair of its Advisory Board to promote the use of renewable energy to fight climate change. Not only that, but she also supported Gucci’s Chime for Change campaign for women empowerment. Evidently, Julia is using her fame and status to help these causes.
