RON HOWARD – $160 MILLION
Ron Howard started as an actor until he became a producer and director that gave him $160 million net worth. A trend seen lately is that when actors and actresses retire they turn to producing movies. It is not a bad move as it gets money in the bank. Ron’s career began when he joined the sitcom The Andy Griffith Show, playing the role of Opie Taylor in 1959. At the time, he was only five years old. Ron is one of the best examples of a child actor turned producer and director—that’s an amazing development if we’ve ever seen one.
After that, he played the role of Richie Cunningham for six years in the TV series Happy Days. He then appeared in the movies The Music Man, American Graffiti, and The Shootist. He started directing in 1977, and his directorial movie debut was Grand Theft Auto. Today, Ron receives credits for being one of the bests directors in Hollywood, made famous by his movies Cocoon, Apollo 13, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and A Beautiful Mind.
