Sigourney Weaver gets the credit for being the “pioneer of action heroines in science fiction” movies. Why not? She has joined the biggest sci-fi films that you can think of, not to mention the iconic ones, from the 1979 Alien to the 2009 Avatar. The 71-year-old star is also dubbed as one of the most influential female protagonists in cinema history.
In her 40 years in the entertainment world, Sigourney has experienced huge success, like winning two acting Golden Globe awards in 1988. She was also part of the 100 Greatest Movie Stars of All Time, ranking in the 20th spot and one of only two women on the list. Fast forward to today, Sigourney remains to be an important part of the cinematic world. She has seven movie projects coming up until 2028. It looks like Sigourney is just one of the few actresses who already have prepared projects in the coming years.
