ANIA PIERONI

Fans may still remember the Italian actress Ania Pieroni in the 1980s movies The House by the Cemetery, Tenebrae, and Inferno. She started in the business by having a small part in the 1978 movie Stay as You Are by Alberto Lattuada. This opened a lot of doors for the stunning young star back then. Ania started to be recognized, however, in her role as an ill-fated babysitter Ann. This earned her a lot of movie credits, though she only had a brief acting career.

Ania made her final vow on the big screen in the 1985 movie Fracchia contro Dracula, playing as Countess Oniria. She then tried to work behind the camera, taking the director’s seat for the local TV station GBR from 1985 to 1991. Nothing was heard of Ania since then, though news emerged she got an offer to reprise her role as Mater Lachrymarum in the 2007 film The Mother of Tears. Ania rejected the offer.
