BARBI BENTON – COPPER PALACE, $25 million

Hee Haw regular cast member Barbi Benton was a moderately successful singer-songwriter, on top of being an actress. Unfortunately, she did not stay active in the industry and only had a short stay from 1970 to 1986. The actress retired to take care of her growing family then. Before leaving, though, she has appeared in six TV movies and films, including The Third Girl from the Left and The Great American Beauty Contest.

What is amazing about Barbie is that she lives in a palace, and not any ordinary one, but a copper palace. They really have to be careful with electricity given that their house could be considered a conductor. The house was the brainchild of Barbi and her developer husband, George Gradow. The 25,000-square-foot building has five copper pods that are connected by stairways. Each pod has its own separate function, such as the entertaining pod, and one each for the theater and lap pools.
