The Homo heidelbergensis
Scientists also believe that the different species of Homo started to emerge. At first, they developed longer legs that were suited to running and walking, and then their brains also began to grow. These adaptations may have prompted a degree of change in their behavior, as these early humans started hunting and adapting to a more carnivorous diet.
Another interesting fact is that approximately 700,000 years ago, the species called Homo heidelbergensis started emerging in Eurasia and Africa. History experts have put forward that these hominins were much more like the modern people in their appearance, laying the groundwork for how Homo heidelbergensis descendants would evolve. These species also acted quite differently from their predecessors. Homo heidelbergensis was known as the first early human species to live and survive in colder climates and create simple dwellings made of wood and rock.
